TF2 start up

ever since todays update when i strat TF2 it plays the valve Logo then source then the screen goes black and it stops responding does anyone know how to fix this:confused1:

In start-up options, put in "-novid" without the quotes.

well i got this issue fixed only now my hard drive is pootis and crashed

Yesterday all of a sudden I was getting Direct3D errors opening just about any Steam game. Started when I tried to run Fallout 3 GOTY for the first time. It's really quite crippling, and I want it fixed.

Yesterday all of a sudden I was getting Direct3D errors opening just about any Steam game. Started when I tried to run Fallout 3 GOTY for the first time. It's really quite crippling, and I want it fixed.

Ah, that happens when Fallout 3 tried installing its own Direct3D upgrades.

Did the process finish or did something interrupt it?
