Ranked is much more challenging. I love playing ranked. but sometimes too scared to lose elo in rank. hahhaa

Normal is pretty fun too. I'm at about 1700 elo rank for normal. You can check yours at www.lolbase.net and search your name.
Its much more relaxed, but at high enough elo you'll still have challenging games.

I'm hoping to get above 1600 rank elo one day. I cant seem to get above 1500's.

What about custom games? ARAM? all random all mid- its pretty fun too. gives the game more of a variety of games you can play.

I play exclusively premade 5v5 -- whether or not I can convince the team to play ranked is another story. It's ridiculous trying to lead solo-queuers to victory when playing a carry isn't my thing.
However, it's gotten to the point where playing 5s Normal was more challenging than the last time we played ranked 5s.
LoLbase doesn't have anything but my solo queue ranked -- and it's outdated. I thought they took Normal elo out of the log files anyway? My profile says 5v5 unranked, but after each match we've been able to mouse-over our allies and tell each other our reported elos -- all of ours were around 1500.

I'll play an ARAM if I'm in the mood for something goofy. It's really fun. If only it was truly random (as in, all champions, not just those you own/free week).

i used to play only normal solo queue. but a few weeks ago now i noticed a massive change where i was literally being paired up with nothing but idiots vs extremely competent players and it made it very frustrating and almost impossible to win no matter how well i did.
i went from +75 wins over losses down to i think im at +49 now. i gave up on normal.

so now i play nothing but solo queue ranked. it isn't quite as bad, but by no means can you carry a team on your own. you're completely linked to your teammates actions so you just pray the enemy has someone dumber on their team that will feed you harder, and then you get a win.
matchmaking in this game is funny, but i live with it and just play.

i love ranked, though i only play it with a full pre-made since i don't want to end up with a bunch of retards.

don't mind normal, but want the new normal game where you can ban champions just like in ranked games so i don't have to worry about people picking lowbob champs like karthus.
