why can't games get the recoil of weapons right?

I'm a rifleman too, i use 1.3 as sensitivity. I have a laser-mouse and if i have it any higher. I can't kill anymore.

But when i'm using a different weapon, like support, i do kick it up a notch to have less recoil.

Bwaaahaha 18.. finally someone who plays like me. I run mine on 20 as well as 800 dpi on my mouse so when i use those certain weapons, I have no recoil at all

Recoil in games is messed up, usually to the point that it's over-exaggerated because developers either don't know, or want the player to feel like he has an uber powerful weapon in his hands.

A weapon fired on automatic does not recoil the way the Thompson/MP40, BAR/STG 44 do if properly braced in the shoulder as is depicted in the character models.

on full auto most guns have a horrendous recoil. unless it's mp5 or ump45 then it will bounce like a toddler. most machine guns however do not. their weight absorbs a good deal of the recoil. you just have to worry about barrel heat.

my sensitivity is around 12.(something), and i also have a laser/optical mouse. i hate it when im about to shoot and my mouse goes crazy on me !lol %-6

The best aspect in dod that i really enjoy is the picking up and throwing nades, that always keeps me on my toes.

Likewise.

Felon same problem. I can be sitting still and all the sudden the screen starts spinning and next thing I know, it's back to spawn. . .
