Does anyone know the best way to play Tryndamere early game in lane? I know he gets really good mid and late game but he is so item dependant. And early game I keep getting harassed too much and have no harassing power myself, so I find myself underleveling early game and dieing when I shouldnt.

Anyone have tips to make his early game not so painful?

Honestly, I can't play Tryn today unless I jungle. He just can't do anything early game. I used to be able to fight 1v1 with Tryn if I had exhaust, and if I just so happened to crit twice. If i get a kill early game, I win. Although, it's very risky. If you're going to be laning with another person, I suggest you have either a healer or someone with a good amount of CC that knows how to pull it off perfectly. When I lane with Jilybean (she plays support), she can always keep me alive no matter what, and I can generally rack up some kills for us. Or if I am with burninhellu (He plays tanks), he can get me fed by knocking the opponents up as cho or alistar.

Laning Tryn is kind of hard to do, and I would just reccommend jungling.

What I do is just stay back and let the nukes do their work and once I get ult I will start rushing in there

They are reworking tryndamere with a rage system similar to Renekton's to replace the bloodlust stack system. He will now gain 5 rage when making an attack, 10 when making a critical, 10 when killing a unit, 20 when killing a unit with a critical. Since he will be able to gain stacks to heal with just normal attacks it should make his early laning more consistent.

I mainly play Trynd, he's one of my mains.. and early game I just grab crit gloves with 2 health potions and just last hit as much as I can on the minions, i usually don't go in for kills unless I have my ult, or a really good laning partner that knows what he's doing. When you have bloodlust lvl 2 and whirlwind lvl 2 then you start doing some damage, at lvl 1-2 you cant really do much unless you crit alot and have tons of crit runes in, but as far as runes go I just get armor pen and damage.

Lol, when does that happening in Normal solo queue at low levels :facewall:

Yeah late game im so aggressive with him, so im not used to being so defensive early game. Im also level 13, so I dont even have runes because they arent good enough yet.

Well yeah at lvl 13, you still have people that don't even know what their doing, like bringing smite and heal on chogath and going mid

but in the 20s, then you start getting people who actually know what their doing.

When ever i play trynd i get solo top lane. Farm all day unless they try to be agressive, then get a bit low so they over play, attack them, crit 3 times and they are dead at lvl 3. Remember to be using your Q and health pots while fighting because healing during the fight is a must.

It's why I stack bloodlust. I only put one point in my W and E so I can catch my prey.

You just need to learn how to avoid damage. Get good at dodging skillshots and being unpredictable, you might do good to try starting with boots + 3 health pots (haven't played trynd before though so don't know how well this would work, but a friend I have who plays trynd starts that way). After you get good at dodging damage and understanding how to get in and out of things with as little damage taken as possible, you can easily start going in and using the minions as shields to get last hits and farm. Save your spin as an escape should things get hairy, and heal whenever necessary. Its a little bit like how Vlad used to be IMO. Vlad used to be horrendous pretty much up until levels 7-9. It could be so hard to lane early on since your abilities barely did any damage and didn't heal you that much either, so enemies could easily zone you out of XP and Gold if they were good. But once you hit that 9, even if the enemy was a couple levels ahead of you, killing them and staying in the lane became one of the easiest things you've ever done. They recently nerfed his level 9 though, and buffed his early so its not as much of a problem anymore, but early game lad is still pretty terrible.

Like it has been said, you just have to be careful at first. First Blood before minions can be easy to get unless you know there's heavy CC in the other team. But after minions come you basically just chill out until you have a couple points in Blood Lust. Then you can afford to poke in more to get a hit or two in before spinning away.

Of course if your lane partner is doing a great job harassing both the enemy laners you two can look for a good opening to go for early kills. Obviously. :P

With Trynd, you need to lane with someone. Yes, early game, he can't do much unless you have someone who can do damage on your team. Early game, he needs to get some CS so he isn't at a disadvantage. Once you get your items, around level 6-7, you'll be doing a great amount of damage, especially late game.

Heres a tip for being good at Tryn,
