Got a problem, help?

Alright so my first mistake was letting my little brother get on the computer. He then started downloading things for Garys mod, and if you dont know what your doing like he does you can get some pretty bad stuff so this is what happened

Anyone get that problem and if so, help? I dont even use IE, FF ftw

looks like malware?

ccleaner, spybot search and destroy, and adaware. download those, start your computer in safe mode and run them.

Yes. try some different anti virus programs. My suggestion: Antivir

I gots the free version of AVG. my comp is clean as... a.... uh.... well. its clean.. lol

Downloading mass quantities of stuff from un-reputable sources always creates problems. Not as bad as mass quantities of smut, but it's still pretty high up there on the "blowing up my computer" list.

Ya thats the thing I have Avast and I ran a thorough scan, it took about 5 and a half hours and it didnt find anything

I never use IE. So I installed and ran spybot search and destroy and it found some stuff so I cleaned it up, and now it my background is this red background with the bioharzard sign saying INSTALL SPYWARE DEFENSE!!!! Its actually a link to a page so ya...

did you install adaware as well, and run them both in safemode?
