Whats a guy gotta do?

I've been in ego for going on two and a half years now waiting to be promoted. I've been on the servers as much as I can, I'm always friendly, I try to populate valve maps when its empty, I frequent the site more than 5 times a day, and I've even thrown some recruitments peoples' way a few times. I'm always told that asking about when you're going to be promoted is bad, but this is getting tiresome!

I like the community and the attitude of the servers, I love the people, I love the forums. I'm not ungrateful to be in ego, but I've gotten more negative feedback from being a member than not. I completely enjoy the servers, and I did so before I joined.

The last time my computer worked (3 weeks ago) certain people were throwing hints my way that I was in the slew of July promos, which made me quite excited, only to be dissapointed yet again. Its not any kind of a big deal, but I'd really like to know how a guy can get PROMOTED around here???

Hey Rukus, I understand how it can feel sometimes as I have gone through the same situation before. Unfortunately Leadership is not omnipotent and we don't always see those who should be promoted, and we occasionally promote those who don't necessarily deserve it.

If you'd like to come talk it out with me sometime in Vent then I'm more than happy to answer your questions and talk for a while!
