An interesting article about how Gaming firms are studying new ways of getting your money. :crying:

I posted this in the TF2 forum, because, while the article deals mostly with "social gaming" drivel like Farmville, there are a lot of corollaries to what Valve seems to be experimenting with (micropayments, free-to-play, etc.)

So what theyre really saying is:

When you have to fight pirates, don't put bigger locks on your loot, just carry money which is outdated, and when the pirates do raid your ship, make the pirates pay for the conversion fees so its actually useful. Cool. Interesting article, though.
