Sound Card vanished?

I'm actually thinking of doing a System Restore, but I want to lose ZERO Files. How can I do that?

Edit!: Turns out the "High Definition Audio Device" in my "Sounds, and video game controllers" area WAS THE ONE THING I WAS BENT ON DELETING. Deleting now.
