Looks like some people are getting invites to test BF3 already? Something to do with those having 'veteran' status? Not so sure of specifics myself.

yay that confirms the old school knifing, where you actually pull your knife out and it stays out! no more CoD quick knifing!

Also, the sound quality is just amazing although there does seem to be some looping issues with guns being fired full auto down there, but its alpha. and the graphics and immersion with the game are just astonishingly great

Edit: After watching some of the videos it seems that all the gameplay is showing only one gamemode, no HC-normal distinctions, which means DICE will be going back to the old formula for only a single mode!!!!

I think it's only like this bc of alpha. They've said there's a bunch of modes. I'm not so sure if there will be hardcore or not though.

by bunch of modes they meant games modes like conquest, dm, squad dm, squad rush, rush not HC, they havent said one word about having HC in the game yet, and the leaked images and videos are all one mode

Personally, I'd like to wait for the beta. An Alpha game is rarely an enjoyable experience, filled with undesigned texture packs, crashes, raw edits and such.

I agree

Anyway I hope in the Beta they will have a Conquest map as well. Since so far and which is confirmed by multiple of sources that Operation Metro will be in Beta.

I agree with the Conquest map... since Battlefield is all about Conquest... its a great disappointing they just made a map to show the CoD fans the great game BF3 will be, what about the big time fans around the world? I hope 2 things in Beta: 1. Conquest map 2. NO HC MODE
