So I decided to go with a Hogwarts theme this time around. So far it's going alright, I'm kind of regretting going with this theme considering most of the lights are either lamps or fire/candles, so it is hard to get a really good lighting (in my opinion). But anyway, the walls won't be blank (but then again I don't think i have many screens of the hallway. But yeah, I plan on putting pictures up on most of the walls like they are in the movies (but I can't make them move :scared:)

This looks like an amazing map, Zimmy! Future map creator? I think so.
 
Well done zimmy, looking very nice, i would suggest adding some detail to the walls, they are looking a bit bland.
 
Although I absolutely hate jail, that is a pretty good job mapping!

Props! And keep on making maps! :biggrin:
 
Really good, but i only think the hall is alike hogwarts, sure the color and textures kind of go with hogwarts but if your able to get as close as you can to the actual things, like add classrooms and put games in there but apart from that looking really nice and i actully started my own jail with hogwarts as its theme but this is looking good :) Good luck!

The first screenshot looks awesome, it looks exactly like the movie. The other rooms, it doesn't really look like the theme is carrying through the whole map. Also the torches in the 2nd and 3rd pictures look too bright, try turning down the intensity of the first torch and creating another torch, instead of having one very bright.

The candles look awesome!
 
Looks great Zimmy. I can't wait to see it finished.

But please make sure it has a lot to do, so that even boring wardens will make rounds interesting. xD

That's a fun game irl, just fyi. Lol.

And YAY. The candles aren't neon pink and black anymore! Hahahaha.

Saying that.. only the great hall looks like hogwarts. I will think of ideas to make the map more harry potterish. You should watch the movies and get ideas! Add LOADS of paintings, maybe have a huge staircase which leads to all the different games? Maybe have them move if thats possible.

Good map though :)
 
You have the Great Hall down pretty good, well done.

Although it needs moar Chamber of Secrets with a BASILISK. Perhaps the soccer field could be the Quidditch pitch? :D
 
Thanks for the input guys. I am aware that the walls are looking rather bland. I'm also aware that the great hall is the only place looking super accurate as of now. I have been googling pictures of hogwarts and what not for a while now. However, I haven't been in the mood to watch all of the movies lately because they're so long. That being said I just got back from watching Deathly Hallows Pt2. and got some good looks. I will attempt to redo some of the rooms to make them more accurate to the movie, however, I can only do so much. I will be hopefully putting pictures over the walls, and as for the games, although I have some ideas hogwarts related, I can't make all of them look like the movies.:facewall:

But anyway, thanks for the responses!


EDIT: I'm now deciding if I want to scrap some of the stuff I've done to make it more hogwarts-ish.:bored:
