Recently, i downloaded the free-to-play version of team fortress 2. Last night, it was working beautifully. This morning, it worked beautifully, and when i tried it this afternoon, Steam started it up, (said preparing to launch tf2) It showed the Valve ads, then immediately crashed, no error window, or anything. Brought me back to my desktop. Any ideas?:facewall:

Hi there,
Try the following steps and let's see if it works:
1) Start up Steam
2) Click on "Library"
3) Right Click "Team Fortress 2"
4) Click on "Properties"
5) Click the "Local Files" tab
6) Click on "Verify Integrity of game cache"
This will go over the TF2 files and verify that everything should be there and not corrupted.
Try the following steps and let's see if it works:
1) Start up Steam
2) Click on "Library"
3) Right Click "Team Fortress 2"
4) Click on "Properties"
5) Click the "Local Files" tab

Do you have the most up to date graphics drivers?
Also, I wonder if the Community In-Game overlay might be causing the issue. Try the following steps for me.
1) Start up Steam
2) Click on "Library"
3) Right Click "Team Fortress 2"
4) Click on "Properties"
5) Uncheck "Enable Steam Community In-Game"
6) Click "Close"
7) Start up TF2
Let me know the results.
