TF2 was working fine for me earlier today, having just downloaded an update.
After becoming disconnected from the eGO server I was playing on because my internet died, I noticed Steam said it needed to restart. I quit TF2 and told Steam to restart. It downloaded an update and restarted itself. I then restarted my computer to free up memory, as Steam always leaves memory used when I quit it.
Upon restarting my computer and opening Steam, it re-downloaded the update (unless another update came out in the past few hours) when I tried to launch TF2. It successfully launched TF2, and I then tried to connect to an eGO server. TF2 connected, but as soon as I reached the class selection screen it crashed. I tried a different server (still eGO), and it got a little farther, but as soon as I tried to move in game, it crashed again.
I'm on a MacBook Pro, Intel Core i5 2.4 GHz, 4GB ram with a NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M graphics processor with 256MB dedicated video RAM. Are my relatively low system specs causing the crash?
Edit: Just tried again (after restarting the computer). The game crashed as it was trying to load the choose class screen. The Mac OS X crash report indicates that the program tried to access off the end of an array. I assume this is a bug that should be reported to Valve? Anyone got a link to where I could do this?
