Tonight was a spy accusing me of cheating because I think I saw him invisible, because of this here are some tips for novice spy.
1 - sometimes for a few seconds you is visible;
2 - Water under the bridge the spy bolhasdentor release of water;
3 - be hidden in obvious places;: Thumbup:

Another thing you should mention for beginning spies is that you become visible again when your cloak runs out, so pay attention to your watch's meter. People never realize that until it's too late.

I spy all the time, and while I'm not the best at it, there are somethings I've noticed myself:

1: A team with more than 4 spies on it makes it harder for offense to capture, defense to defend and other spies to take out priority targets (ie, medic) when there's a fool spy stabbing the razorback sniper. Generally, the less spies, but greater than 0, the better.

2: If you use the DR, get out of the area under cloak quickly enough that you can gain a safe uncloak space. Never wait around to decloak behind someone, especially when not using the Saharan set bonus.

3: Realise what the guns are for: Revolver is for finishing off those who moved when you went to backstab/when you've been found out. Ambassador is for killing anyone slow enough (usually snipers, especially razorback) that you can take a headshot and kill quickly. L'Etranger is for the set bonus or to refill your CnD or DR, do not underestimate this weapon. Enforcer is for when you're around many wounded enemies that you can kill quickly but cannot get a headshot on, also good when running from pyros. Using the YER, DR and Enforcer together no matter what the situation calls for, because it's "cool" is quite foolish.

For new spies also when you use your disguise make sure they know your not on the other team and it makes it look like your on their team. Like, running to their base then running out so they don't suspect you then you backstab them really quick then run away!

I can't stand the enforcer. It's way too overpowered with the Dead Ringer. Now if the DR was an underpowered weapon and the Enforcer made it on even terms I wouldn't mind it, but short of a pyro with nothing but time on his hands, it's very difficult to kill a spy with DR/enforcer.

Luckily I've played nothing but pyro recently, but in general I think it's a stupidly good weapon with 0 downsides and Valve is either pushing offensive spy really hard or is just trolling the community.
