Hey guys. I'm what is considered obviously an amateur writer. I don't look at myself as a professional or act as one but do take writing seriously.

I've been following my local football team for the Canadian Football League, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, pretty heavily since April covering Mini-Camp, Training Camp, Preseason and the regular season as well as the other teams and catching all the games either live or on television.

This has given me an opportunity to be in a blog contest for the winner to get some cash and help get more exposure. The writer with the most article views after four weeks (one article a week), wins. All my other articles are on my website.

Below is my first article in the contest, found here: http://bit.ly/pSCIiJ. If you guys could check it out and spread the word, that'd be awesome. Also I appreciate feedback and welcome it :)

Thanks guys.

Your article is pretty good. If you want some constructive criticism on these online articles i have a couple. I'm no pro at this either, but I did notice you have quite a few breaks in your article. I always find it easier for me to gain intrest in articles when keynotes in the article are bold or Italic. like all of their yardage stats. or what places they made. It grabs the eye on what you will be reading about. it allows them to scan the article, this technique is used for many things, even taking tests!

I'm sure you already scanned all the bold letters in this post somehow so you know im about to talk about pro football. or am i?

Article: Charlie Sheen Roast to air same day as him getting killed off on 2 and a half men

Like in this article, which is a bad example. Makes it less boring. I'm sure it would be different if i knew what this team was you were talking about, making it interesting for me (no offense), so using examples of well known teams also can grab the attention of more viewers. comparing them to professional athletes and have the pros in bold letters.

(don't over do it either like in this post, i was just providing an example.)

Anyways, I like to see people do stuff like this. I really hope you keep up with this.

Below I have linked the four articles and a quick blurb. Feedback always welcomed and it has been fun trying to get at topics.
