Vietnam from Origin and BC2 from Steam?

Since Vietnam is only $5 this weekend on Origin, I was looking into buying it. But, the question comes down to whether I can activate it on Steam or not...anyone?

The only time you ran into an issue before was if you bought BC2 through EA or retail and got vietnam through Steam. Since Origin=EA Download Manager I don't see why it wouldn't work like before.

Thanks Shortstuf. I just realized I forgot to mention that my BC2 WAS initially bought on Steam.

BC2: Vietnam is built into BC2. There's no separate download. When you buy Vietnam, and you start BC2, you will have the option from within BC2 to play Vietnam. You are simply adding Vietnam to your account. It's different than in the past, when there was a separate download for things like the xpacks in BF2 or Northern Strike for 2142.

EA and Steam seem to be having their electronic periods because BF3 isn't going to steam. Origin is trying to replace Steam for all EA distributed games.

because valve is being greedy and wants royalties for any DLC's that get released which would cause the DLC's to go up in price

Steam is always greedy. Thats why I try to buy retail mostly. Origin is a nice client too
