I found this on the net and use it now. It seems to help a lot.

After seeing all these posts about game running bad. Below I have created a list of some things that will improve the performance of your computer..

*Disclaimer** I am not responsible for anything that might go wrong trying these **

1. Install - http://www.iobit.com/advancedwindowscareper.html
This little utility is GREAT. It tweaks a lot of stuff in Windows and gets rid of unneeded files. It also has a option for "Game mode" basically unloads everything out of memory you do not need.

2. http://www.malwarebytes.org/ - Great program for getting rid of Spam which can hurt performance

3. - Go to your Hard drives *right click* Properties
- At the bottom you will see " Allow indexing Service to index this disk for fast file searching"
- Uncheck This is a feature all basically keeps track of all your files on your computer so if you do a search for something it finds it quicker, but who cares if it takes a min to find something. Once unchecked it is going to go through all your files and uncheck if any screen pops up at this point just hit "Ignore" Unchecking this will improve performance

4. At this same screen go to "Hardware"
- Highlight your Hard drive and hit "Properties" at the bottom
- click the tab "Policies"
- At this screen check " Enable write caching on the disk" will improve hard drive performance

5. Go to "Start"
- Run
- Type "MsConfig"
- Go to the "Start up" tab
- This screen shows you all the programs that load up when you start windows. Everything that is loaded is eating up memory. On my computer I only have one thing load up and that is my Virus program.

6. From this same screen click the "Services" tab
- At the bottom check "Hide all Microsoft Services"
- These are also more programs that load up in windows. (This can be a little more tricky as some of these need to be running)

7. This next tweak is going to take the way windows looks and make it plain Jane, but also frees up memory for Gaming
- Got to "Start"
- Control Panel
- System tab
- Advanced tab
- Under "Performance" click Settings
- Click " Adjust for best performance"
Again this is going to make windows plain, but this is a great tweak.

8. Now on this next tweak unless your a pretty comfortable with computers I would not do this one.
- From the same Systems Properties menu
- Click "System Restore" tab
- Uncheck "Turn off System restore on all drives"
If you are curious what this is just Google "System restore" I have mine turned off

9. Check for errors on your Hard drive
- Go to your Hard drives *right click* Properties
- Go to "Tools" tab click Check Now
- Check both features at this screen and reboot (This might take sometime to complete)

10. Defrag the puter
- Go to your Hard drives *right click* Properties
- Go to "Tools"
- Click "Defragment Now..."
During this make sure your screen saver does not come on as it can effect this.

I'm actually using advanced windows care. Cleaned ALOT of my problems and defragged my hard drives :)
