Here's the thread on reddit, if anyone is interested in that.

Frankly, I'm super excited. After Counter Strike 2 was canceled, I was pretty sure that valve was done with the counter strike games. This will give the game a much needed facelift, and I'm pretty sure we'll see some new, good ideas brought to the table (droppable, cosmetic items that will be able to be used in the new steam trading beta?)

I hope its more than just 5v5 competitions, I suck at scrims already >.>

Well, according to that article, Valve's having a press release by 4 AM tomorrow, so I'll wait until then to think about anything related to this.

I dont understand how it can be more focused on the competetive side of play, doesn't CSS already do that well enough?

Personally, with all the time ive put into this game, ill be definetly buying this regardless of whether its a new game, or just a "Condition Zero" of source, as Tension said.

EDIT:
We also now have a steam store page:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/1800/

Description:
"Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) will expand upon the team-based action gameplay that it pioneered when it was launched 12 years ago. CS: GO features new maps, characters, and weapons and delivers updated versions of the classic CS content (de_dust, etc.)."

Sounds like a Condition zero like expansion to CSS.

Yes I'm super excited! I feel as if it's gonna make the game a little more appealing to those who think CS:S is kind of a fail game (my cousin) d:
