I'm anxious to see it. It appears that valve has taken queues from Blizzard with competitive gaming and making a game geared towards that. They also have great timing. I'm excited as a normal gamer as well, CS 1.6 is the only game i've ever played 24 hours without a break. I hope it's great!

I also really hope we can start seeing some of us getting alpha and beta invites. I know our community deserves it.

As a side note, I can't wait to listen to Live on Three this week. DJ Wheat is gonna blow a neck vein and I can't wait to hear what Sir Scoots has in store for Team EG.

I can almost guarentee it won't. They are not impossible, but making them look and act even remotely like they belong in the game, would take some work. Work, that from my experience, the Counter-Strike development team is way too lazy to do. We will see, though. It's been 5 years since I picked up Source, and I have good feelings about this new game. (3D, maybe? )

I don't think they'd spend the money and development time to make an arcade title in 3D format... thankfully
