There is a new email I got that tried to phish my account. It almost worked to. Thank you google Chrome. A website spoofed the Steam homepage and Valve support email. I thought I got an email for making sure my email is legit. Google Chrome picked up the false website

And this one 2 has been going around

"Gold Assasin NVIDIA and STEAM will give you 3 FREE games to add to your account just visit: ___"

This one has been sent to me 2 times throuw the Insurgency Redeployment Group by 2 people.

So be careful.

Please don't post websites that are harmful to others. Last thing we need is someone to be careless and follow a link that you posted trying to warn everyone about not following that link. There are literally thousands of threads like this across all divisions of edge gamers. The lesson here is check EVERY url that is sent to you.

Be suspicious of people who contact you through steam groups. They weren't looking for you, they were looking for an audience.

Be suspicious of anyone (group or individual) offering something for free. Nobody wants to give stuff away for free in the real world, and the same thing goes for the internet.

That said, I hope that mild gets things straightened out soon.
