While on the subject, I need to ask something. I can understand "powerade", or "power-aid", it gives you the power to keep going... But why Gatorade? Do Gators have a natural affinity for exercise sports drinks?

:facewall: Didn't the University of Florida come up with gatorade? Their mascot's a gator, so I imagine that's where the name came from.

correct. in 1971, one of the trainers for the Florida University Football team created this drink that helped replenish electrolytes, hence Gator-Aid. They are the Gators, and it aided them.
