This isn't that big of a deal to be honest. The only problem would be favorites and ISP issues for certain people. Other than that, it's just an extra step that seems a little pointless but not that terrible.

I just feel kind of "meh" about it. *shrug*

They have a Favorites option in Battlelog .. as well, since Servers are based on URL's, I believe you can just actually save the URL's to your actual Browsers Favorites. It's pretty neat actually - everything game related - your friends, your stats, your favorites, buddy chat, blogs, and server browser with filters are all done through an internet browser.

Pretty neat and it actually works very well.

I couldn't have stated it better. Was anyone complaining about this during the alpha? I think not.

EA servers go down and keep us from logging in all the time as it is, in all honesty...

Guys, in all honesty...if you blow your tops over the smallest of things like this....you'll lose the ability to enjoy the game when it comes out. EA and DICE are big boys, they can make decisions for themselves. They won't do something to jeopardize their game...so if they make a decision to implement something...there is a good reason for it.

Relax.
during alpha phase for bf3. battlelog was no problem with me or joining a server on bf3. i am thinking they want quick and real time status than gametracker or any games that my opiontal

Well from the point of View of the BF3 Alpha participants the I guess not having a server browser is ok.

Anyway we can all post our comments/opinions about it later during/after the BETA.

I would like to mention something. The server browser is on the battlelog feature that comes with the game. The Game closes/opens really fast, so it's actually faster then doing it in game for most people.

Wait for the Beta to start being worried... I won't buy the game until I play the Beta...

I didn't get the invite for alpha :\ but I hope this all works out fine. It's true that all of BF's previous browsers were ugly, glitchy, and laggy. And Battlelog is just meant to streamline the experience for casual players, as well as save time to get into a game. I'm sure it'll all workout fine. I'd prefer battlelog over the crappy server browsers we've been using since 1942

Also, remember, all Source games have the Server window through Steam, which (I think) will provide a similar experience to this "Battlelog".

Though, it would be smart for them to also put an in-game browser, in addition to this Battlelog..

Wait for the Beta to start being worried...

As P3N said wait till the Beta and make the decision then

Even though I don't have forum admin, I want to consider this post closed till the Beta.

i like ingame server brower for bc2 but only problem when you going to look for a server name it will give you none or some of it. but i think battlelog fixes that and i agree it does open/close the game really fast. that dice wanted. Dice want a game as complex and flexible at launching the game or exiting the game
