Ventrilo Help Please!

Recently (or rather last month) Ventrilo stopped making any kind of sound. It stopped playing any kind of event sounds, and I can't hear anybody talking. I did NOT change any kind of settings so I'm at a loss here. (NO I DID NOT MUTE THE SOUND ON PURPOSE) Help please?
