PSU question

can a 400w psu run a GTX460? The psu has enough amps on the 12v rail to handle to the 460 but does the wattage really matter?
 
Depends on the card itself -- as you can see, the power requirements are varied.

GTX 460: below, 2 cards, same GPU... very different power solutions.

System Requirements Minimum 450W or greater system power supply(with a minimum 12V current rating of 24A)

System Requirements 700 Watt or greater power supply recommended

Should be fine.

If we could get model numbers that would be great.

Delta usually makes stuff that works.....

Also Amps are related to Watts in the following physics function:
W = V x A (watts = volts x amps)

aka a 12V rail at 24 amps is 288 watts of power, but the GPU will prob never take that much power to work, even at 100% workload
