Pc Gaming is Not Dead.

The PC Gaming community shall rise again and dominate these Console players that call themselves "gamers"

You're forgetting that in-home gaming started with consoles. :) So yes, they can call them selves gamers, it's just on a different level.

Anyways, it'll be the switchblade or variation of.

Eh, I was thoroughly unimpressed with the switchblade shown at CES. Maybe they've improved it, but I doubt it. A bigger screen would defeat the purpose and that is really what it needs.

If the Switchblade is indeed what Razer is referring to, then that's just stupid. First of all, the Switchblade has nothing to do with PC gaming dying or not dying. It's not even a full PC, it's an Atom powered netbook with a custom keyboard. Not to mention the games they demo are Quake III(12 years old) and WoW(7 years old). Let's see that thing try to play BF3 or even CoD. Sounds to me like this is a pathetic attempt at poor marketing strategy.

It says I'm scared. I'm not scared, I'm confused. Who thought PC gaming was dead? O.O With a clan this big, I don't think anybody did.

I think they meant mostly with the younger generation, They're there future customers.

Haha, I knew any product attached to their lame marketing pitch would be lame, but this is just plain silly.

It would be nice to finally see the hostilities between PC and console gamers end. There's so much competition that's completely pointless. Who cares what system has better graphics? Who cares what system releases games that others don't? We're all gamers here, we should be getting together to share ideas about everything combined, not arguing over what system is better.

I personally prefer consoles, due to being able to sit back and relax with a comfy controller. But that doesn't stop me from hopping on my crappy PC and gaming with eGO.

I hope they come out with cross-platform gaming soon. I know Valve and Sony have already done something similar through Steam. Hopefully we see more of this soon.

First looking at it: looks neat, probably high-quality build. Biggest drawback I think I see: their proprietary macro gaming buttons (over the touch-pad). Yes they look useful, but (at least I know I do) when I game on my laptop, I always use a mouse. My right hand is on the mouse, my left on the wasd cluster, and those neat glowing (essentially fancy macro buttons) over the touch-pad...might as well be in outer space. I guess that could be nominally useful, but not $2700 useful...ಠ_ಠ

CS:GO will be cross-platform - can't wait to see how the Playstation fairs agaisnt PC and Mac users =)

That is so overpriced as to be almost an insult. I have a feeling this is going to be a huge failure for Razer.

Jeez... it's worse than I thought... How on Earth do these idiots get away with even trying to market something like that in this type of economic climate? How many could they possibly think they can sell? 1000? Probably not even that many. You can buy almost the same specs for less than half of that. Don't they know PC gamers are pretty thrifty and know a good deal from a ridiculous one? What a joke....

I registered my email so I could learn about some over priced product ill never get? No thanks Razer

They claim its for more portability (I was reading the CEO's facebook page) and they raised the cost as of that..the laptop seems cool to me, but I wouldn't shell out $2700 for it..that is twice I paid for my desktop!

Theoretically, they have the potential to do just as well since it will support Mouse and Keyboard even on the PS3. The only ones stuck with controllers are the 360 users :P

Who won't be able to play with anyone other than other 360 users (thank god for that), as Microsoft continues to block Valve from utilizing Steamworks on Xbox Live.
