So the rule I'm talking about is ct's "camping autowants". For example, on amazonian I usually grab a scout, run up to cells and check the cell connected to vents. When i see the passage opened I immediately run down to the river where the ven drops you to kill rebellers. Afterwards, sometimes, more t's come down. At this point I am uaually finishing up a search or killing the t's down there. When these other t's come down I obviously kill them as well. However, I hae been called on camping an autowant and was onced warned through the Admin (all) chat thing.

So was this just a case of misunderstanding or am i supposed to leave after not seeing any t's. (as in: no searching the whole area)?

It may be a stupid question.

Also, I've heard that the warden may pardon wanted t's, is this true? (this may seem even stupider).

Also, if the remaining ct's do not have mic's orders cannot be given. What happens now?

I apologize if this is not the place to ask questions like this.

From my understanding you have to see the vent open. If it is open you are allowed to go to where it leads including entering the vent. What happened in the servr is probably that you were there already and a t droppe down and got shot and admin chatted saying you were camping which was more than likely a misunderstanding. As far as warden pardoning a rebel T they can say to leave them alone yet i i have been told it is up to the ct who sees him whether or not to kill him. Generally for the flow and fun of the game you should let those people go. There are no stupid questions in my opinion cause at least you get clarification here and it doesn't then become an issue in the server. Keep on playing and having fun and just listen if the admins ask you to do something =)

Oh and if no ct's have a mic run because the t's will kill you all lol. typed orders are not vlid so technically t's can do what they want. It rarely happens though usually someone has a mic or an admin who is dead will do it in an extreme case

Some helpful advises:

1. We all know the maps, therefore we all know the escaping spots. By camping them you just ruin the T's chances to rebel. It is true they become Wanted by entering vents, but you should first let them commit the crime and then shoot to kill, not otherwise. Also be mindful that the rule asks you to stay with Terrorists in sight at all times, that should do the trick for your questions.

2. Warden may pardon T's, no matter the crime. Its a chance to keep the round fluid, at the very risk of the CT team.

3. If remaining CTs cant give orders, I suggest you start buying a microphone. If that is not the case yet, admins should take action. Let the admin team handle the situation.

Remember: No orders = Freeday while it lasts.

Basically what i already said lol :P

Okay let's say that you have just finished clearing out vents on a map like syntax. Then another ct calls out "vents". You search for this person in the vents obviously. However, I've also been warned about things like this. Again, I'm just assuming these are misunderstandings.

In answer to your second question about syntax, if another CT has called it out and you are already there I don't see a problem in searching the area for that T. You have a legitimate reason as your teammate has seen him go in.

And Sigma, I would disagree with the Warden being able to pardon as I've always heard that it's up to the other CT's because it says in the Jail rules (stickied above)

Once you are wanted, you are wanted for the remainder of the round and may be executed without warning.
However, if the other guards agree to it, then there's no problem letting him off the hook :)

Hope this helps clear up any confusion.

Okay, Yeah this pretty much answered my questions now.

Once wanted always wanted. A warden may pardon but there's no guarantee the T will live, only if the CT's aren't trigger happy.

That's why admins can use sm_speaktoall >:D

To clarify a bit on sigmas response to #1:

You are allowed to camp ANYWHERE you want as long as you can see a T. <-- No longer true. See below.
Cryptex: CT's are free to pass through & open vents, but are not allowed to camp them, observe terrorists from them, or take any weapons from them.

Additionally you do NOT have to be in sight of a T at all times. The over simplification in admining this rule has lead to this belief. You are allowed to go anywhere you want as long as you have a reasonable suspicion that Ts have escaped (Opened vent and Ts are missing, etc).

edit: Misunderstandings over camping. Oh man, i have seen so many people being falsely accused of camping by both admins and "regular players" alike. It'll happen unfortunately, the preceding events are often missed and if the CT is cleaning out the area and you drop down and get killed...well sometimes you just gotta bite the bullet. There are risks and rewards to everything you do.

Sorry but that's out-dated and here's the new rule from the admins Q&A section. Anywhere but vents.

neral Guard Expectations

1. Remain With the Prisoners
* At no time should you leave the prisoners to explore the map or do your own thing. You are required to maintain line of site to the prisoners at all times unless you are actively hunting down rebelling prisoners and have reasonable suspicion that they are hiding in other parts of the map.
2. Follow the Warden's Orders
* Comply with all lawful orders from the warden. Work as a team under the warden's direction to facilitate the prisoners' activities and ensure the safety of you and your teammates.
3. Do Not Aid and Abet
* Maintain control of your weapons at all times, you may not provide a weapon to a prisoner or leave one where a prisoner can be reasonably expected to obtain it (gunplanting). Do not assist any prisoners in escaping, rebelling, or disobeying the warden's orders. Exception to the gunplanting restriction is outlined in Section 4.
4. Do Not Put Yourself in Harm's Way
* Do not be in any locations where you would make an easy and quick kill (baiting). If you are in a spot that the prisoners must travel through to reach a destination you are exposing you and your team to unnecessary risk. Do not approach or entice a prisoner, maintain a respectable distance - far enough away that you could kill or call for help if attacked.
5. Do Not Harm or Kill the Innocent
* Under no circumstances should you damage or kill a prisoner who is not wanted or has failed to complete a warden's objective.
6. Use the Mic Effectively.
* Only orders provided over the mic are valid and must be obeyed. The mic is for issuing commands and communicating valuable information to your team, not for idle chatter. If you wish to be social speak to one another via text.

Meaning you are allowed to leave the line of sight of terrorists if you are actively hunting a rebeller, and have reasonable suspicion they are in a certain area. Vents being broken would be enough to warrant your searching for them. However, please take into consideration that the game is built on rules so that the spirit of the game may persist, everyone is meant to be having fun on the server, so please use your common sense.

I stand corrected, thanks for that notice! Does this mean I can no longer remove weapons that were picked up by a killed Terrorist? Also, the camping refers to camping inside them? If I were to sit outside the vent for example in canyon I can legitimately say I was looking at the Ts or do I have to divert all eyesight from the vent completely?

edit: That's a big change from three days ago, i should check that more regularly. Only 26 views too, I doubt most admins know about this change.
