Borderlands weekend sale

So I just found out that Borderlands is on sale this weekend for 75% off. This isnt only just the game, but the GOTY edition & all the dlc. So if youve always been wanting to get the game, this is prob gonna be your best shot til id say around Christmas time (if they put it on sale around that time again).

Just figured if give yall fair warnin on this.

ROFL. Jesus. Lemme guess, CoD is ultra realistic? Graphics don't make a game, which most people don't understand. And its not shooting for realism. You're from the TF2 division? Can't talk about realism at all. Oh and lemme guess, WoW is a bad game too because it has the same style of graphics. Oh wait, a lot of games have cartoony graphics.

Play it. The graphics are a different flavor, but very nice indeed. The game is a lot of fun. Sure there are times where you unload clip after clip to kill some fools, but it's SO MUCH FUN!!!

The graphics are different more like cell shaded. But they are not "bad graphics" at all. Just different than military style FPSs. It is not strictly a shooter so it need not be "realistic" it is a RPG. And if you do it right and aim like you are supposed to it does not take multiple bullets. I actually enjoy it a good deal just have not finished it. I have been busy with other games at the moment but i am going to get back to it for sure.

Very much correct. They originally were going for a sci-fi "realistic" appearance, but halfway through development, switched to a cell shade graphics instead. This provoked a lot of complaints originally, but everyone shut up the moment they saw how good the game looks with the cell shade, and the gameplay and storyline falls in line with the cell shade, or need I say comic book, look.

FYI about the "needing a thousand bullets" thing. There's a thing called recoil. When you shoot the gun more than once per trigger pull, you'll have a "spread." In addition, this game has some character leveling where you can actually reduce the "sperad" so your aim becomes more accurate. You can't expect a level one soldier to shoot as accurately as a level ten soldier, can you? With that said, you can melee instead, so you'll be shooting no bullets. Or you can play as a sniper (which I am), and go for one headshot kills. Except for those stinking ultra bada** skags, I hate them.

for the price, definitely worth it.

This game is the first person shooter version of diablo. Good shooter mechanics, halfway decent rpg skill leveling, and loot, so much loot. And co-op is great, especially with friends.

I just picked up the last piece of dlc i didnt have, and looking forward to it.

I wish there was a demo for this game, however there is none available (unless someone knows of a site available that has 1 cause I searched & found none). Anyways, the original is $5 & the goty edition is only $7.50, so do whatever you gotta do (chores, mow lawn, etc) in order to get the $$ to get this game cause its a very fun game. Def not your typical fps (esp since it has some interestin rpg aspects to it). I was pleasantly surprised by how much fun the game is & how much there is to do in the game.

For those looking for realism, the closest you're gonna come is CS:S, so other than that, good luck. Borderlands was made for entertainment & fun, not for realism.

Also I need some help/suggestion. I do have enough to get 1 dlc game, but need help figuring out which to get. I already have Gen Knoxx & Clap Trap, but would like some help on 1 of the other 2.

I would say the Underdome cause the Zombie one isn't that interesting to me, but the Underdome basically adds a huge amount of playability to this game because it's so hard.

i've had this game since release, and the only DLC i have is knoxx (only one that is NEEDED, definitely the best one too from reviews etc)
this game is great. i still play it. too bad i don't have internet at my house anymore because im in a bad area, or else i'd be asking a bunch of others to play with me etc. its fun on your own, but its amazing with co-op. the more the better too.
everything becomes much harder the more people you have in game which makes a bunch of things a BLAST

the gun battles can be extremely challenging too, so it isn't like your typical shooter. this game can be TOUGH
