No Email Reply And Private Messages

For some reason I don't get email from threads that i posted, and no emails telling me that I have a private messages? Anyone know how to? I can't seem to find out! %-6

For the threads you make, there's a check box right below the text box that you type in that will notify you via e-mail when people post on your thread.

I don't know about the PM's, though. That's always been on for me.
