Well finally figured out how to get a multiplayer game going on BF2-BC, and have been having a blast all weekend.

I couldn't use the name Septu, as it was taken, but you'll see me in game as Tiomat. I'm not that good, and stay away from the choppers and vehicles (unless it's for a quick ride somewhere), but it's fun.

Something I noticed, no one talks in game... is that some server setting? Before I figured out what the mixed mode server was, I was on several different servers, and noticed that no one talks in game.

I usually go into vent, and try to find a channel where others are playing on a server.

yah in game chat isn't really used at all in bc2 just vent

If by talk, you mean voice chat, voice chat has never worked well in BC2. You can usually just find some boys playing in the vent rooms.

Yeah... I hear you. After playing it for a while on Saturday evening, I switched over to CS:S. Sadly that didn't last too long (a map or two of highschool), and I found myself back on BC2.

Lol yeah a friend of mine plays CS:S a lot and he told me to try it, so I did. Got on one of the eGO servers, played probably 5 rounds, and ended up with like 5 kills and over 30 deaths.

And then I went back to BC2 :thumbup:

But yeah, welcome to our rediculous group. I look forward to seeing you out on the Battlefield soon =)

Any way to get my tag to show up in game? I took a quick look last night, and couldn't see anything obvious... I haven't gotten many achievements, but really like the ones I do have, and would rather not start over with a new solider...

How do those of EGO deal with getting a promotion in BC2 (re displayed name)?

There is a clan tag option but in order for your clan tag to show up you need to not use auto-login. Also changing your clan tag does not affect your stats so dont add the tag to your soldier name instead use the clan tag option.
