I know this video is old. I saw it a couple years ago. So we dont need replies saying how old it is or how you saw it years ago. I'm just sharing it for people who haven't. And I love the music.

diving into a big dark hole in the ocean?

I hear this video is pretty old...but I had never heard of it or seen it before. New to me!

That was pretty cool.

Can I borrow your lungs bud? Seriously >_> Can I?
Too bad I'm a fatty, or I'd do this everyday. I need to drop to 170 at least XD

Hey. I posted this video awhile ago. Just a heads up about the video. It is edited big time. It shows him reaching the bottom and then coming back up... The hole is 663 ft deep. No free diver will ever get close to reaching the bottom here.

But anyways still a sweet video.

yeah its edited. But he still holds the record for the deepest underwater freefall. 117ft I think?

As Chocolate said. The video is heavily edited. While someone with minimal training and practice can hold their breath between 3-4 minutes. The world record is 19 minutes (David Blaine's time was 17 minutes). There's no way that this guy (I forget his name) wasn't using air or other aids to get to the bottom and back.

There's no way that weights, fins, or air wasn't used for part(s) of this clip. In fact there's no way aids weren't used for this clip. All that being said, the clip still looked cool.

In April 2010, William Trubridge broke a free-diving world record in the blue hole reaching a depth of 92 metres (302 ft) without the use of fins (Constant Weight Without Fins). On December 14, 2010, he swam to a depth of 101 metres on a single breath using only his hands and feet for propulsion, while many divers use weights to quicken their descent or inflatable bags to bring them to the surface quickly.

Oh I forgot to add that the bottom of the hole is pitch black. He most likely did the whole take on one breath but only went to one of the out cropping.

If I remember right the guy said he did it all on one breath.

I have no practice, I'm 21, don't smoke and I can barely hold my breath for a minute. Would take a lot for me to reach up to 3-4 minutes. :) Just saying.

Regardless that it's edited, it's an awesome video.

Knew about David Blaine, watched him do it. He's one of my favorite entertainers. :)

You'd be surprised. I used to swim competitively when I was young (like ~14ish), and could hold my breath for ~1-2 minutes while swimming laps. It's also easier to hold your breath under water than above it (when you know you can't just take a breath whenever you want).
