I know you guys have an RO2 area of the forums but Stormy don't play by the rules (and Stormy occasionally speaks in the third person).

Red Orchestra 2 closed Beta is out. It's not too late to get in on the action if you purchase the "Digital Deluxe Edition." ($45 American, $46 if you buy RO1 first then the Deluxe Edition). If you do purchase RO2 (or the Deluxe Edition) you also get goodies for other games!!!

Now you're probably asking youself one of three questions:

1. Is it true that Hansen is going to have a comeback tour?

2. What the hell are you repeating all this junk for?

3. Really?

To answer your questions (or lack thereof) I decided to put pictures because-- hey who doesnt like pictures?

1. Yes, and it will be AMAZING!!!

2. Because you stinking jerkface, not everyone scours the internet tubes looking for RO2 junk!!! Now get the hell out of my office!!!

3. Yup, theres a bunch of awesome things coming out with RO2 including bonuses for:

Red Orchestra 2 (duh)

Team Fortress 2 (You guessed right-- its hats)

Killing Floor (Fact: KF gives DigitalDJ a headache)

Below are the perks of buying different versions of RO2 and the original RO:

Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 ($10 American + 20% off RO2):

Owners of the original Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 will also receive the following special weapons and items in Red Orchestra 2:

  • Day 1 unlock of the Kar98 and Mosin rifle bayonets:

  • Special in-game item - Russian Guards Badge and German Assault Badge:

The first RO is a great game onto itself, definitively worth $10 plus you get shiny internet stuff!!! I FREAKIN LOVE internet stuff. My high credit card debt combined with irresponsible spending and attraction to shiny things demands I get anything that looks like something I would like to have in real life!!!

Red Orchestra 2 ($35 American):

The Game... when its officially released.

Thats it. (Pony up you cheap bastard!) Oh, technically you save 10% before its released.

Red Orchestra 2 - Digital Deluxe Edition ($45 American):

Steam Digital Deluxe Edition adds the following extras on top of the Standard Edition:

  • Access to the final phase of closed beta before the September 13th launch
  • Day 1 Unlock of the Elite Assault Weapons (MKb 42(H) and AVT-40) and Semi Auto Sniper Weapons (SVT-40 and G 41(W):

  • Team Fortress 2 German and Russian hats ("Genuine" if bought during pre-purchase):

  • Two new characters for Killing Floor - Russian and German Soldier Re-enactors:

Stop scrambling for your wallet and listen up! No, I'm messing-- go buy this now!!!

So to sum it up:

-RO2 is freakin amazing!

-Even purchasing the Deluxe Edition is way cheaper than most new games

-Buy RO1 and save 20% off of your RO2 purchase. (RO1+RO2 = $38)

-Buy RO1 then RO2 Digital Deluxe and its only $1 more than the deluxe edition ($46)!!! $1 for RO, bayonets, and badges? Yes.

-You get a bunch of awesome stuff with the Deluxe Edition

You buy now!

So its not too late to buy this game. Like I said its amazing!! Fork over $46 to get 2 games, content for 3 games, and the ability to check out the beta today!!!

Love,

Stormy

P.S. Please remember that Betas generally require players to agree to a non-disclosure agreement (or some junk). So don't post any screenshots or videos of you playing. OP:X Leadership: correct me if I'm wrong. ;)

P.P.S. I did the math in my head. Just buy the damn game(s).

It's just another Day of Defeat source with minor differences. 1:different engine 2:larger teams 3:different nationalities.

I know what you're trying to say:

"Don't mess with perfection"

But RO2 isn't anything like DoD. DoD is absolute perfection, tampering with it would be like putting Kool Aid into a fine glass of King Louis XIII. Anyways, RO2 is all about squad based tactics, realistic gameplay, and shooting dudes in the face. DoD is all about capping flags, shoveling people in the face, and making the opposite team perform seppuku when they lose their honor.

Hopefully in the near future some graduate of Star Trek Academy Online will make a UI for RO2 that essentially takes all aiming, fine motor skills, and excitement out of the game. Maybe they can replace it with drop down menus and some form of magic or half-human half-pigmy koala hybrid. Until then we're stuck playing a realistic and skill-oriented FPS. ;)

Oh MAN I can't wait for that!

psst

anyone got 35 bucks?

anyone wanna be my best buddy forever and ever?

if so, you know what to do

Ugh, I'm trying to come up with the money to grab it. I do giveaways and then always end up short whenever I finally want a new game.

>.<

I'm laughing way too hard at these two... Anyways I've been playing the beta and I gotta say it's amazing. The realism, depth and handling is great. Despite a few glitches here and there I really have to say this game is gold and will become diamonds when the minor glitches are tweaked. Any chances of fps:x getting a server? :o
