Inheritance finally has a release date!

Inheritance, the book I have been waiting for ever since Brisingr, is finally coming and ending the Inheritance Cycle!

Have you been waiting for Inheritance? Have you read the series? Do you not like it? What are your thoughts and opinions on it!

I've read them and I plan on purchasing the new book. Though you are really behind on this bra. The release date, cover and title were unveiled March 13th. I noticed you have not included it in your post, but the release date is November 8th 2011.

I will read it only because I have read the first 3, and I refuse to leave a series unfinished, but they, imho, are not exactly great pieces of literature. Though Brisingr was far superior to the first 2 (aside from the 300pages of Dwarf Politics /groan). However, the characters I find are too cookie cutter and the plot too linear and predictable. Also, Paolini spends way to much time living in his own created fantasy world, rather than moving along the plot line.

That being said, it is still good entertainment and decently written fiction, though not on the level of George RR Martin's aSoIaF.

Previous book was September 2009, The others were released in 2007 and 2005 respectively.

I have to agree. I love to take breaks from the action, but reading about the Dwarf Politics and Elf Politics got me soooo bored.

Currently reading the new Artemis Fowl book, never read any of the books mentioned in this thread so no idea what they are about. I am waiting for the new Wheel of Time book, A Memory of Light coming out in 2012, sigh can't wait it's going to be off the hook.

Yeah, I was about to say, I work at a Barnes and Noble and we've had signs up for this all over for the past few months.

Anyway, I'm awaiting it and I'll read it, but at this point its just because I want to know how exactly it ends. I'm not that interested in the actual series anymore, Brisingr was done pretty poorly in my opinion and I didn't enjoy it very much.

ya ive got a fairly good idea of how stuff is going down in the last book but im not sure if i should post what i think for fear of looking dumb when the book drops


and brisingr was done poorly, the whole dwarf thing couldve been handled in like maybe 100 pages instead of 300

honestly his writing process mustve been something like "hey check it out were back in farthen dur! oh man assassins! oh hey saphira you fixed the jewel! oh hey im going to focus on the dwarves for another 150 pages! oh crap, other stuff was supposed to happen in this book! um lets throw together half a book in like 100 pages!" yeah, just like that...
