Elder Scrolls: Skyrim

[JanitorGnrSgt]

Who else here is excited beyond imagining?

[Liliana]

Well, clearly not beyond imagining, but I am.

[Boyle]

I am!!

[JunK]

i think i'll preorder this game. honestly it will be the first and probably only game i'll ever preorder.

I am wondering what you guys think of this game. This game looks incredible in my opinion but I do not want it to control my life and I am afraid of that. It is also coming at near the same time 2 other good games are (Uncharted 3 and MW3), and am wondering what you guys think of it in comparison with those games. Also, how did you guys like the other Elder scrolls if you played them, because I never have before.

[Ducttape]

I can truthfully say I am not unexcited for Skyrim to be released.

[infinapables]

I sadly would say that I am not that excited for Skyrim. Personally, I enjoyed Morrowind (Eldor Scrolls 3) more than I did Oblivion. The combat system, at least in those two games, was very basic and control wise it has nothing on either Drakes or MW3 which should have very tight shooting. Where Elder Scrolls really shines is the open ended gameplay with potentially over a hundred hours of play time with side quests. They say that combat is going to be revamped for this game but I have my doubts it will be anything very skill intensive.

I am simply excited for Skyrim because it will be something new to play. Lately I haven't seen any fun RPGs like Oblivion or Fallout. It has been a long time since I have played a goo

[Deptacon]

Can't wait.... I have played all 4 Elder Scroll games....Played the original on a 486 when I was in middle school.....

To see how far this game has come over the years is amazing. I am kind of irritated there are no pre-order deals on Steam right now though, I want some specials.....at least something stupid like crab armor.....

[Snipeye]

Just curious, anyone going to be at their local Gamestop (or similar store) at the stroke of midnight to pick up the game? I'll wait for Friday afternoon to get mine.

[Believer]

I preordered on Steam (yes, I did it for the hats), so the game is set to release midnight I am pretty sure. Don't think I'll be playing it at that time but there's always Friday.

[TxTKiller]

It will be released at 24:00 GMT on steam. I have been waiting for this game for over 3 months and its finally here. Cant be more exited then this

Source? Or is that just for European releases?

I'd been under the impression it was out @ Midnight EST for the entirety of North America.

This is what Steam displays for me as of posting.

Available: November 11th, 2011

This game will unlock in approximately 9 hours

[bleblablueble]

I'd get the game but I just don't know what the game would have to offer for someone who hasn't played the other elder scrolls games
