Elder Scrolls: Skyrim

45 hours of total gameplay now, and not anywhere near done.
Must say, beautiful game, although they could've fixed some rather annoying bugs here and there. Not particullary hindering bugs, but annoying.

And then there's AMDs love for their gamers, which means my other 6950 is an expensive paperweight while playing >:

Other than that, this game was totally worth it.

Almost 55 hours in...so much to do...and there's still quite a few areas I haven't been to. The scope of the game is almost unbelievable. No major complaints.

Well worth the $60.

About to pick up this game, loving hearing the good reviews...although i would probably only have a couple of hours in by now, which is a good thing considering you guys have around 50 hours in and not even almost done. So my money is well spent with this game

Did anyone else go werewolf? Have to say loving that aspect so far... screw the vampire!

This thing is over the top. 42 hours in now...I can see 400 hours in this one....easy.

...weren't you concerned about spending too much of your time in a game? If so, this is not the game you want.

My wife  is ready to kill me :scared: and hide the body ... but I am just getting started

i kind of want to ressurect this thread because i just got this game and im curious about other players choices. its obviously a popular game across our community because its so great, and its obviously very versatile throughout so not everybody will have the exact same build spells weapons etc stuff like that.

im not sure how many hours i have in the game so far, but i know im no where remotely near finishing my first play through. but one thing i have noticed is there hasn't been much challenge thus far. i picked an orc all our offensive warrior, heavy armor set (onto orchish right now) and dual wielding elven war axes with heavy focus towards smithing, so all my gear is epic. i have over 300 def points and each axe is like 60+ damage off the top of my head, and i use the dragon shout that speeds up my attack speed. level 22 with 200 hp 220 stam and so far nothing has posed much of a challenge. i know it will happen, but im just waiting for it. the dragons and enemies i've faced so far absolutely melt as soon as i start whacking away.
the biggest threat to me is magical damage, and there was one dude that killed me a couple of times before i remembered about my race power (half damage taken, double damage dealt for 60 seconds) then i ripped him a new one too.
is it like this for most other races/combos too, or am i just marveling in my gear and a little too far ahead for my level at the moment?
i've read theres like a level 50 black dragon or something. giants were trouble until i found my main shout, and i was melting them at like lvl 12 with not much effort...not as if they are worth it however but ya.

im extremely enjoying this game, can't wait to progress further...sooooo many quests. im EXTREMELY happy about how my computer runs this game, very shocked. almost completely maxed out and never under 60 frames. just had to get a new 1920x1080 full hd 23" monitor to play it pretty. absolutely blown away by the graphics when i first plugged it in, especially how your EYES ADJUST TO CHANGING LIGHT lol. look up to the sky quickly and your vision is bright until your eyes adjust, same with darkness....amazing.

so ya talk about what characters you chose, why you chose em and whats up...include epic pics even! told you about my character above, his name is Joktan, but i will have other play throughs, one as a full out mage of power (not sure which school yet) and most likely one as an archer thief, but i definitely see all my characters being well versed in smiting. it seems like one of the most useful and beneficial skill trees in the game

I'm 140+ hours in and am still nowhere near finished - honestly, I think I'm just getting started. Especially with all of the great mods that are sure to come.

I started out as a 1h/shield warrior type, but due to the beauty of the character progression system I eventually transformed into more of a ranger. Basically the progression system took my natural style of play and built on it. That's the #1 thing I love about this game, the character progression is so natural. Anyway, I'll def be starting a new character soon and plan to focus on 1h/shield again, maybe a paladin or tank. Guess we'll see where the progression system takes me on that adventure!

So did you go werewolf, vamp, or nada? Stormcloak or Empire?! Do tell!

Here's a screenshot of my current character, Norrath. http://i41.tinypic.com/2i8f4vq.jpg and http://i40.tinypic.com/6zrlvl.jpg

oooo very nice very nice. too bad i don't have internet at home but ya i may be able to put up some photos soon.

i just have something to say about this game....umm im an elitist when it comes to power in video games and such, and i always need to have the strongest and the best type of character...but now the game is super easy, even on master.
so don't make a dual wield mace heavy armor specialist with max enchanting alchemy etc. basically my heavy armor isn't even at 100 yet but i have 1200+ armor rating, and my 1h isn't even maxed yet but i have over 1000 attack rating, plus i can use these super strong potions that can make me have +150 hp (over the 500 i currently have now) for 300 seconds, and like 155% regen rate, and 130% more attack power (so like 2300) and such....its INSANE
if i wanted to, i can basically 2 hit anything in the game, even the strongest dragon...and im not even level 50 yet, its nuts...but too easy, so don't do it!

k i'll add photos of my character later lol

edit: heres my pics of my champ. first is just what he looks like with his armor, nothing special, 2nd is my armor and armor rating, 3rd is my weap and attack rating, 4th is my attack rating after eating a potion =D
