Even if you don't feel you owe any, if the government sends you a letter saying that you do, don't ignore it. This applies doubly if you have been an indoor farmer for the last 5 years. It doesn't just go away, and listening to H&R Block when they tell you to just pay up isn't good either.

... no the IRS isn't after the SUEmok, they are after a lady that isn't so good with paperwork. The SUEmok is simply trying to get things in order so she doesn't have to pay as much.

how about people make sure that the reportable income they have is lower than the required filing level.

Won't do you any good if you still pay your bills. The government will look at the fact that you pay your mortgage and send you a nice letter informing you they are making the assumption that you have X amount of income.
