Unfortunately, Cant put it together until after classes today (from 4 - 8:30)
Then the fun process of reinstalling everything begins...

AMD Phenom II X4 840 3.2GHz Quadcore
G.SKILL 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 x2
MSI 870-G45 AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard
CORSAIR CX500 V2 500W Psu (I current have a 400w off brand, so I figure 500w Good brand should work)
Windows 7 home 64 bit

And old parts I'm reusing;
Case
Nvidia 9500GT 1Gb
500 GB WD Caviar HDD

Awesome! I had to go through the steps of finding out why I had no video when I woke up on Saturday.....fun time of taking things apart, and reinstalling half my computer, so I'm with ya on the reinstalling everything. Turned out to be the PSU and GPU. That looks like a nice build though. You'll definately enjoy it.

Yea. Im sure I will :)

It was more or less a college expense, though. Next semester I start my 3D animation and Visual effect classes. Need a PC to handle that sort of stuff (And to game on ofc).
Just need to remember to backup my music first. Last time I didn't and It was painful.

So, I get home, open the box and take everything out I notice something; They didn't ship the memory with it. Turns out they shipped it in a separate box for some reason, which is being held due to "Adverse weather conditions" at the station.... Lame....

Interesting selection of parts considering current market conditions

Im on a budget =\

Tried for less than $250. Came to just that, after a $15 instant rebate and a 10% off for new customers thing.

Got Win7 for free cause a friend ordered a new pc that came with a cd, although he already had Win7 ultimate.

pretty sure that an i3 2100 and appropriate motherboard could have been had for the same price.

Eh, probably. I'm not too big on intel though. Always bought/used AMD. Just a personal preference.

I used AMD for years.......just switched over to Intel within the past 2-3 years. They both provide good products.

Put it all together and seems to be working fine. All's good so far :)

Also, its Very fast :D
