I believe this to be the closest thing i could find to being wrong ...
Stuttering
If you have a low Ping, but experience frequent pauses during a round, some of which can be longer, some shorter, often occurring when you first see or hear a new item, character or sound, this is called Stuttering. It is often erroneously referred to as 'Lag', but it has nothing to do with your Internet connection.
Stuttering is simply your system struggling to get updated information not from the Internet, but from your hard drive. It can be reduced by optimizing your drive and making better use of memory. If nothing else helps, you will need to purchase more RAM and/or a faster hard drive.
The problem description....
I play fine for most of the time, but when the server starts to fill, and people are on the mic for longer than 2 seconds, i experience lag. if two people get on and spam, it dogs badly... and sometimes if two or three people get on and spam at the same time, will boot me from the game.
This only happens with DoD Source, CS:S works fine, DoD 1.3 fine... all other MMO's i have fine, as well as single player games. I have been hunting for a solution since my third day playing DoD:S, and nothing has changed since the DL of said game. I have done everything shy of doing a clean instal, and GAWD the thoughts of that haunt me. (I remember the days of having to clean install my CS server when my admin screwed it up)
