Can't Access External HD

As stated on the title. I can't access any programs on my 500 gig external hard drive. I keep getting access denied and now its saying its NTFS. I have no clue whats going on and I've tried going into properties and doing cmd.exe prompts to give back permission.

Strangely enough, after a restart it fixed itself. So Idk what happened... weird.

That occurs as a Windows 7 glitch between user access and UAC.

It happens to me all the time, lol.

Problem fixed itself. Locked.
