Hey man, I see you're a CC on A-10s, that photo I have on the last page was when I was doing a Combat Search and Rescue training op with A-10s and some army helos, and I just want to say that is one fun plane you get to work on

Well, my instructor told me airforce is Huh-Rah, It might be hua, he didn't spell it out.

Instructor for what? What class? Are you in tech school? The only people I've ever heard use the phonetic "who rah" were CCT/PJ/SERE in tech school and since going operational in the Air Force I've never heard any operational person use it.

Oh yes my friend - I do love my jet. She has come back to me more than once with some pretty bad scrapes, but shes a tough ol girl - she can take it and dish it RIGHT BACK OUT!

Not Active Duty yet, but I just contracted w/ the Army and have 8 years min. to serve. Let's hope I get that flight slot! Apache here I come!

If there is one thing I regret in HS it was not sticking with a sport all 4 years and being a slacker when it came to studying/HW.

I applied to West Point, but when you have barely made a 3.0 over all and never were on a Varsity sport/lettered you really do not have a shot.

I highly suggest you join a sport this year, if you aren't in one already, and play it for 2 seasons. Even if you are just a bench warmer it will still help your application.

If you would like some advice feel free to PM me. I really wish somebody could have helped me my soph/jr. year in HS.

I've been varsity cross country since sophomore year and I also do racquetball and track. I've done sports year round since the start of high school. My GPA is close to a 4.0 and I've also been in student gov't for a cumulative total of about a year. I am also doing National Honors Society, which looks really good.

I feel I am a pretty competitive candidate.

Good idea Scion. Well right now ive been approved thru meps to go into the military. Now trying to work with either the Air Force Reserves or Air National Guard (im hoping that ang will have the cyber security position available that I need). Btw, in case youre curious, im 29 & thats the reason I give for either of those 2 branches.
