Bane's New sexy machine

We will run some benches when you get ur beloved 570  the only argument that I'm making is price/performance outperforms by a little and its cheaper ... You apparently have money to throw away... It doesn't make since to me to pay more an get less... So I'm done arguing on your thread..

nah i understand and see the viewpoint from ATI/AMD people you get the best bang for your buck and i completely get that. sorry its just the drivers that i cant stand and the issues that someone these cards entail

The drivers for Windows work just fine. Don't choose to be ignorant about it. And being loyal to one brand is rather stupid. Here's something that I've said before about fanboyism:

"Fanboyism gets you your favorite things, but it keeps you from getting better favorite things."

The HD 6900 series is a much better value than the GTX 570/580s, especially since the new drivers.

Thanks bane... I just wanted you to see my point. Thats all .. Best bang for your buck I should have said that earlier lol... I was a fanboy until I had both intel and and both ati nvidia... Each has their own strengths and weaknesses. Depending on your use

I was gonna say, I thought it was odd that he was bashing the AMD cards that were suggested, since I'd heard more bad things about the drivers on the 570/580 (seemingly more so the higher-end the model is) than any 6900-series card.

I've always found driver issues are less pertinent to the specific brand and more to the specific series (or sometimes the specific model number).

Oh phobus why are you so mean all the time? "Sigh" the reason i am a "fan boy" is more then just say HEY I ONLY LOVE THIS AND ONLY THIS. I am a fan of Nvidia, and AMD is my second choice, i have done research and the 570 beats the 6970 in routine performance and lower res. but when you are maxed out in res 2560 X ~~~~ the 6970 will win, i don't care about that. It is the company in which i care about. EVGA is my favorite company in the computer business. They have many things to offer such as there amazing support and lifetime warranty nothing can possible be better then them. so to risk the chance of a company who does not have the same loyalty to there customers is just not what i want to do. So end of fricken story i may be a fan boy to some products but the reason why i am is because of the company's are good company's with quality support

It's your money, you can spend it on whatever you want. There are other brands that are good brands for AMD products, but if you want to limit yourself to just EVGA, then go right ahead.

I wasn't being mean, just factual.

Naku do you have 2 200mm fans up top? and how does the case fan controller work, plug them into the PSU or mobo for them to work?

i have another question about ram, i plan on OC'ing it to 2000 and i have a CL9 kit and am wondering if i should go to CL 8 or lower, if you think so please link the ram

There is one molex plug that you plug into your PSU, then that goes to the fan controller, which connects to all the fans.

I don't really think you will get 2133 stable on any 1600 kit, unless you go for some really jank timings like 11-14-11-31 or something stupid high like that.

yeah i have been researching and that is a little out of there, with that mobo you think i can have ram above 1600? or just try to get to 1833 with that 1600

1155 supports 800/1066/1333/1600/1866/2133 dividers. Those are your only options. You can try to get 1866 with the 1600 kit, but i wouldnt count on it.
