There are now badges on the LoL Forums

It was already there, all someone had to do was look up the persons name in the client.

This just makes it easier.

I'm sad that I wasn't able to get gold rating; not enough time.
I'll settle with silver though. Top 10% doesn't sound that bad.

The only people i see who are really the elitist on the LoL forums are the ones who barley got gold and are just trolls. Everyone else is being helpful.
