Ok I don't know if this is the place to put this thread. My friend in eGO named Pengu, he is an e, account got hacked and password changed. Is there a way to get it back?!?!?! This is what his account looks like now. http://steamcommunity.com/id/stwmario

have him contact steal support, the quicker the better, they ask you to show soem kind of proff that is it you like a phyical cd key of a game you bouht, along with picture, may ask for any credit/debit crds that have been used on the account.

Do what Naku said. Get him to contact the Steam support. They will most likely ask him for an evaluation of what games the account has, receipts of some games for the account, probably. And debit/credit cards, like Naku said.

You don't need to consistently post a reply every time you need to add something, it's unnecessary and is just considered spam, just edit your post.

Go to here https://support.steampowered.com/
And click on the options that's corresponding with your problem.
If you purchased software through Steam with a credit card, please confirm the card type (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express), full name, expiration date, and last four digits of the card used with the order(s), all of that in your ticket that you will create for support.
If you give all of that info plus a CD-Key that's attached to your account of a game that you bought from lets say a Gamestop and then activated through steam, then you're definitely going to get your account back without a problem.
But it's your fault that you got hacked in the first place, don't download anymore illegal software/hacks, you more than likely have a key-logger.
Make a random password and write it down, change you Email Password, Steam password (When you get it back.), etc. all to that new password that you just made up and wrote down.

It's never anyone's fault they get hacked. It just happens, could have been downloads or just a random attack. I've DL'ed tons of stuff (no hacks) and never had it happen to me, but I have been randomly hacked, such is life.

99.99999% of the time it isn't being "hacked" Its getting phished by entering your steam info on a non steam page, which you get a warning for every time you get a link in steam and should be common sense...

Ok. I am fairly certain this has been answered least 5 times. The simple answer is Verify your account info with VALVe. Its is soo much easier to send an email with a new password to you and have it not happen in the first place. Also keep passwords different. Its a pain yes, but one that will protect your account. Again as all over had said, contact VALVe support and give them the info they ask for.
