Griefers on 24/7 Heavy Metal Conquest

Hey there fellow gamers,

First off; Thnx for hosting the 24/7 Heavy Metal Conquest server. It's always crowded and most of the time filled with good players.

But it's a shame that sometimes there isn't enough eG or eGO to deal with griefers. It's a shame because it makes many motivated players go away and it makes other newcome think it's funny to misbehave.

I'm sure eGO is aware that this happens, but still i think the server suffers from it. From me personaly you can always expect to try and get them to behave. But the reality is that just asking someone nicely to stop isn't always going to solve the issue.

Hoping for maybe more admins come by once every so often or maybe get the oppertunity to help admins get control on the server.

Hey Joy!

Thanks for bringing this concern to us. We'll definitely work on getting admins to stop by Heavy Metal more frequently in order to keep things in line.

Also, if the server is out of control and you're having trouble finding someone, hop onto Ventrilo and tell anyone in the Battlefield channels that you need help on the server. We do realize that it's an issue and hopefully we will have admins patrolling the server more frequently.

I've experienced this as well. It's caused me to leave the server on a few occasions.

This is an issue Leadership is aware of and we moderate it best we can. As you said, there simply aren't enough eGO admins who play Heavy Metal, even though it's by far our most popular server.

The answer lies in recruiting from the server itself. If members are recruited into eGO, then help admin as e's, which will earn promotions, and in a short amount of time -- an appropriate number of admins for the server.

In the meantime, I agree with Slaz. Add admins to your steam, so you can always reach them. If they're available, they will either hop in game themselves, or if the server is full, grab a member of leadership to handle any goings on in the server.

Grosskopf, I know it's frustrating, but rather than rage and leave the server, wouldn't it be better to grab an admin and make it better for everyone?

I have noticed this happening also, sometimes from people that frequently play the server. Generally when I ask people to stop they do though.

It's not raging. It's having the game ruined and not even wanting to play at that point, with a big part of the demotivation coming from not being able to do anything because on those occasions there were no admins around. On the occasions that there were admins around, I've gotten them to take care of things. I've posted a ban request or two about people from there as well, doing my part the best I can.

As someone who plays on that server a lot, I often see players spawn camping, but they're usually pretty easy to get rid of.

Spawn griefers aren't too big of an issue, it's the AFK players poisoning squads with inactivity that make teams lose. I play on the Heavy Metal server a lot and see a lot of kickable offenses going unanswered. I realize that admins cannot patrol every waking second, but it does become unplayable at times. I will have to utilize ventrilo more often I think...

Like slaz, tipton and just about any other player that admins on our servers, just add us on steam if you have it and we'll get around to solving the problem as soon as possible.

If you can't find me on steam, try to find me on vent. I'll have to sit in the queue to get in, but when I do it'll get handled and the server can continue as per normal.

Unfortunately, I dislike normal mode so I don't frequent that server often, but I will handle admin situations if nobody else is around if asked.

Well Left, while I can't complain on recruiting P) I must say, if you do recruit in there, be watchful and help guide them. You don't want your recruits falling into those habits as well...or you don't want them to be a troublemaker from the start. Personally, I don't like Heavy Metal in the first place, to me it isn't fun. However, I do occasionally hop on to fill it or check it out...I cannot stress enough the importance of having admin friends on your Steam or Origin list. It takes care of the problem much quicker. Other thatn that, feel free to hop on Ventrilo and grab an admin.

Myself and most all the Administration are in vent. Add them and myself to your list to contacts. Personally I hate the Heavy Metal map, but I will assist you with any issue you may be having with trouble makers.

I play the Heavy Medal server frequently but if I do happen to be on another server look for me in Vent and let me know about the issues going on and I will jump in and assist.
