Here's some great vids for all you DoD vets to re-live some memories of the time when DoD had it's best gameplay.....3.1 beta.

This guy had Sturmbot loaded so he could pick up weapons, but otherwise it's all the same.

For all you noobs, this is when you bled and had to bandage yourself....no runnin and gunnin like 1.3 and Source.

Gaaawwwwd I miss 3.1b!!

First one is from dod_caan.....we have a Source remake of this map on our Kettle custom server now:

Next one is from dod_ramelle.....this was a helluva map with crazy fighting for that mid cap at the bridge....just crazyyyy!!!! I sure wish someone would make this map for Source...we had it in 1.3:

WTF Colonal.....dod classics...I watch them tomorrow...damn I miss the good old times!!!

i just found out that you can run DoD 3.1b on Steam now!!! Apparently there is one server running it.......now only if I still had my Half-Life from 2001...crrraaaaap!!
 
Back in the old days when the bar used to be a sick gun. Was a bar whore on kalt.... used to go 3:1 or so with it... too bad its not very good anymore
 
lol memories...

The map seemed so much tighter back then. Electric and fire alley seemed narrower.

Ahh ramelle, those were the days... :( Gawd, I've been playing this game tooo long.
 
we gotta find someone to remake dod_ramelle....and the right way with the Axis where they were originally. The 1.3 remake swapped sides.
 
Oh man... I miss those excessively hunched over soldiers with the guns that were as tall as them.

Caen2 is where it's at.

the remake of Caen is called dod_goodwood and there is a second one called dod_insigny !!

Yes, Ramelle was the town/whatever in SPR.
 
just to note, we are running dod_goodwood (caan remake) on our custom server :)

and ya we're old spetzy....i've accepted it now :/
 
I think the remake of ramelle is dod_merderet. I'm not sure but i think it is.
 
I've said that Ramelle would make a great map a few times...Would love to rocket that big church tower *drool*
 
OMG I LOVED 3.1 i was like the 11 yr old nub on the mic...
but omg i loved cean!
i can try and re-make the ramelle map.
ima need pics, and or vids on it...

I want my FG guns back :(

I miss killing people with semi-auto sniper rifles that were as powerful as a bar and fully automatic when not scoped :)
