Boro asked me to write my review on this.

Downloaded it last night and have only played it for the first 12 levels or so, this is my take.

At the moment, it is a generic F2P mmo. There is a cash shop, but it's all aesthetic for right now, so it doesn't seem to be a "Pay to Win" mmo. The gameplay is similar to Nexus's Vindictus with an anime art style. 4 Characters, your sword guy, a fighting guy, a mage girl and a gun girl. At the moment the gun person is unavailable and I've only been playing with the Mage.

Gameplay itself is just dungeons where the fighting is a 3D side scroller where you must beat an area before advancing to the next with a boss at the end, similar to Guilty Gear. The dungeons themselves aren't randomly generated and are the same each time. Not a very wide selection of skills, at least at my level but the dungeons are honestly easy enough that you won't really need it. I haven't died once and can solo Very Hard dungeons with a recommended 4 people and still get a SSS rank. In my opinion the fighting is a little too easy.

The storyline and dialogue are trying to be humorous. Example being your character questioning why they have to walk across the street to talk to somebody for a quest. There is voice acting, but it's generally off synch or too low to hear with no option to turn it up, but again, it is in beta.

There is supposedly PVP, but I haven't found out where to do that, or if it's implemented yet.

tl;dr - Generic F2P mmo with potential, but it's still in beta. Maybe worth a play while watching it for improvement. 5/10

Great review Vorsai. I looked at the screenshots of Rusty Hearts and could tell right away it wasnt the game for me. But after reading Vorsai's review that sealed the deal that I def would not like the game. But if you guys are interested ill post a few games that I've played personally and really enjoy. They will all be FREE TO PLAY to I wont post any that require a subscription fee. Hope this helps you guys looking for you MMO fix.

Vindictus - Very cool 3d Fast Action style game Worth checking out.
Cloud 9 - Anime style game with tons of classes and options. Childish but fun!
Age of Conan - Recently went F2P and is well worth downloading. Great graphics as well!
Black Prophecy - SPACE MMO like EVE but the best part ITS F2P (still in open beta phase)
Divine Souls - Similar to Vindictus, but not as good as it in my opinion. Still worth checking out.
Guild Wars - Requires an in store purchase but is free to play forever. Old but still fun!
Dragonica - 2D side scrolling game. VERY COOL. I really enjoyed this game. Check it out!

Like I said these are just the games I've played that I enjoyed. Just figured I'd share that with you guys! Sorry I didn't provide links to each game..but just Google it and you'll find it no problem!

Writing is not my forte, but I didn't feel like proof reading it.

Vindictus was fun until it got to the point where you couldn't do anything because you were out of coins.

In my opinion the best F2P mmo was Cabal about 4-5 years ago.

It does seem to pick up a bit you can spec your character down two different skill paths later.

I still haven't done any parties since I haven't run into too much trouble with dungeons. I'll probably play this for a bit or until I get bored and see how it turns out.

The control and game play style is different and I kind of like it. Somewhat nostalgic, reminds me of Guilty Gear or Gauntlet Legends.

Edit: They also have "stamina" which is used for quests and entering dungeons. I'm not sure if it's because it's in beta, or because I've been leveling so fast from soloing dungeons, but I haven't run out of stamina. More than likely it's just because it's in beta since I haven't seen any stamina "prices" for quests. As I mentioned, Vindictus had a similar system with coins in order to enter dungeons, and if you ran out, you had to wait until they gave you more (every few days), or buy some. When I played Vindictus I'd always run out of coins the same day they distributed them which is why I quit. If this turns out to be the same, or the dungeons cost too much stamina it probably won't be worth it. The game is fine, but it's definitely not something I'd pay for. If I wanted to spend money every month on a game I'd go back to Rift (which was amazing by the way).
