Ive been wondering does ego have a admin guideline?like if someone breaks a rule is there a limit?i ask this becuz for the past couple weeks b4 i joined ive seen no system for kicking/banning it was a little random, like langauge, one person says F***K he /she get kick and another person says F**K and they get banned. i thin ku guys need a system like:

first offense:warning
second offense:kick/ slay
Third offense: bann for 60 mins
Fourth offense: bann forever.

If you're not in the clan, I honestly don't think that you should tell us how to run it. I mean no offense

:P

personally, I have noticed this as well. I think it should be in the admin's hand and choice to do thinks. I don't think there should even be any swearing on the servers, so this issue should not even apply.

Everyone admins differently, and I think that most admins have their own guidelines...and most people do it by what they have seen the people above them deal with things...like language, attitude, etc.

You arent an admin so why are you worrying about it? There is a general system in place but the way you have it wont work for all situations. Each thing is different and as it was said before... everyone admins in their own way. We have gotten this community the way it has with the current admin tendencies.. nothing needs to be changed...

If you ever think a decision you see an admin makes was wrong, PM their House Leader or an Advisor/Council member tell them about it (INCLUDE THE ADMIN'S NAME).

I also see different choices within the admins but so what. It is at their discretion how they handle things. if I become an admin I'll worry about it then. until then it really isn't an issue for me.

Excellent thinking!

We have rules, admin school, a training period of eG status and multiple different levels of superiority. There already are guidelines but it's up to the admin to assess the situation and act how they deem fit; every possible permutation of poor server behaviour would be impossible to cover and I doubt if it would be read by all.

Your reasoning shows me that you have little or no experience as an admin of a server, there are certain occasions where four warnings are not needed, which include racism and screaming down their mics. In such cases I am more worried about turfing them out of the server quickly as oppose to worrying about the bureaucracy.

I think when it comes to names there should be a vote. One admin asked for a player to change his name from "Get in the Van, I have candy" and threatened to kick. Then I've seen plenty of names far more "taboo" where there were multiple admins in the server and they didn't feel the need for a change, like "Skroo Yu" and such.

Once again, if you believe something's wrong that needs to be brought to an admin's attention simply type "u@ message"

Generally, i'll warn twice and if they do [whatever] again i just say "i'm sorry" and kick them. However, if there is an eGO on, then i generally let them know about it, and they'll either tell me "you can handle it" or "i got this one." Live by the golden rule, treat others like you want to be treated, if you ask someone nicely to follow the rules, they'll more likely comply

I concur.

How about the word - Frack! (used most of the time in Battlestar Galactica: The New Series), would I get into trouble if I use it in the game?

oops, i voted no but i agree with sushi.....maybe there should be a guideline, u know, put it in the motd or something and i have a another idea about "guidelines"...read my post! labeled "guideline"
