Hi,

Anyone know how "Points" are calculated in the Server Rankings?

There's an awfully complicated system.

It aggregates a score based on your kills, what weapons you used (they have different point modifiers), you earn points for destroying mcoms/capturing flags, etc. I wish I could explain it all, but I really don't know the values for everything.

If you scroll down to the weapons section, you'll see there is a point modifier in the second column for each weapon.

You'll also notice I get extra points for doing different things in my event log, such as double kills and kill streaks.

Each player is assigned a certain number of points based on your GameME rank:

And each weapon/gadget has a certain modifier:

So what GameME does is it takes a persons point value and multiplies it by the weapon modifier based on what weapon you use to kill that player.

For example you will receive more points if you kill someone who is in the top 100 rather the someone who just started playing on eGO servers or has a low GameME Rank. Also you receive more points if you kill someone with say the Combat Knife which has a 3.0 modifier compared to the M249 Saw which only has a 1.3 point modifier.

You lose points when you are killed. More so if the person who killed you is lower ranked than you in GameME. I think the most points u can lose for a death is 25pts. This is also affected by weapon modifiers.

Bonus points are also offered for Kill-streaks, Headshots, and Winning the round. You do not lose points for losing a round.

Wow! I hadn't found the play by play history setup...that's a good way to snag a record when you have an Epic game.

So knifing, roadkill and smoke grenading people pulls a 2X 'point' punch. Handy...no more shooting folks in the back out of laziness... :-)

At work I use Metrics and Performance Data to determine directions for improvement.

Some of the Metrics/Statics setups associated with BFBC3 are incredible.
...pretty much makes the work stuff look like kindergartners put it together...(Lord knows I work with some toddlers though.... Lol)

Thanks for the info!
