I've come to notice that there are a plethora ( yes I said plethora) of broken links spread throughout the forums. I figured it must be because of the URL change you guys recently went through but it kind of plays havoc when a junior member, such as myself, is trying to get educated on all the happenings in my division or others at that.

I'm sure I'm not the only new e running into these little hiccups and was curious if there's any plans on getting the links updated?

I try to post links on Noises page but there always broken! *sniffle* </3

Broken links? Do you mean something like this (just an random example from some app). If you mean on that thats because eGO changed from edgegamers.org to edge-gamers.com All you need is to change link to add - inbetween edge and gamers and .org to .com. Your link would work then like THIS

Hope i help'd (:

Yeah I've tried adding the "-"dash symbol in between edgegamers and it didn't really work. I just went ahead and sent a request in to the drop box and figured the higher ups could handle it more legitimately.

Thanks for the help though :)

You need to change the .org to .com as well

If you've posted a link in a thread it's pretty much up to you to go back and fix it. You can always edit your own threads and posts unless the thread has been locked. For anyone else to do it they require forum moderator access. There is no way those few people with that kind of access are going to review every post on the forums to fix broken links.

I've fixed the links in my posts that I consider significant and even that was a daunting task. Thank goodness for copy paste.

Just think, if we ever win our legal battle we can go back and do it all again. On the plus side the links we don't fix will work again. Maybe.

Posts with lots of broken links can be fixed with a simple find/replace command. It shouldn't really be a daunting task unless there are a lot of seperate posts. I think someone with database access could run a find/replace command on the (showthread.php table? or another, I dunno) database and fix them all in one swoop, but don't quote me on that.

The ones that you pointed out in the Drop Box have been fixed.

I freakin' love this guy.

Since I have over 2460 posts, I consider it to be a daunting task. Color me daunted.
