As you may or may not know, I frequent SPUF quite a bit, mostly because I have a vested interest in class gameplay and gameplay balance in general, but sometimes I peruse the general forum as well.

The somewhat regular "ridiculous server rules" thread was posted up, and eGO was inevitably brought up.

But the cool part was that I saw at least two people responding to that specific post and talking about how eGO admins tend to be really cool and how they tend to have fun on our servers, a far cry from the usual eGO bashing I used to see.

So yeah, that made me a little proud.
 
Indeed, SPUF seems to be inhabited by those whose behavior would be in violation of our server rules. eGO servers promote a classier environment and do not detriment the game play experience in the slightest. Personally, I prefer to play on eGO servers. The community is kind and the atmosphere is clean. Good work everyone!
 
I saw that too but I just ignored it. Most of them were just lying out right (or at least not telling the whole story) about why they got banned and how people are treated here.
 
Bottom line: People will do anything to make themselves feel better. This includes lying about why they got banned and flaming eGO on other forums and across the web. The fact remains: we have a great group of people and our rules keep order. Some people are just jelly.
 
I don't think you guys are reading what I wrooooote...

What I'm saying is that general consensus anywhere appears to be that eGO runs pretty good servers.

And I think a big part of that is because we've been doing a consistently good job.
 
For what I've seen, a regular non-eGO players will not believe whatever an eGO-hater has to say. Mainly because their stories are absurdly exaggerated. These stories are only combustible between groups of haters. They believe each other and feel eGO is truly like that, which is not.
 
Over time, the SPUF'ers have came to our servers to check them out. They found out that we do not actually ban people for dominating the admins, or for saying "damn".

That, and we have some pretty good players if you want some competition.
 
I agree, the admins are doing a good job. It's because of the great admins and community that I joined eGO back in mid-August. :)

I was surfing /v/ the other day and found a similar thread. And of course, eGO eventually came into discussion.

And I found the exact same thing. People defending our servers. On /v/ no less.

You might think it means less when all of the posters are anonymous, but on a board where the posters tend to be mindless sheep, I think it says a lot about us.
