Where did your name come from?

So today xblade111, DeadlyMidget, Cecilia, and my self (Mr.Gocho) were chatting about "Where did our names come from?" and i explained that mine came from the fact that in the country i was born, the part where I am from we are called Gocho's is kinda like calling someone from New York a Yankee. so i got the idea to create this post the point of this post is to explain why? and how did you get the name you chose for your gaming? Thank you. And i hope to see great stories in here not "trolls";)
 
Back when i was in the military my roommate was a supply guy and he had tons of "stolen" Post-Its notes so i had tons of them. A few years later i started playing Cod4 on PS3 and i needed a PSN nickname and at the same time my wife said use something you wont forget and I have a terrible memory so i write everything on Post-It notes and thus where the name came from.
 
Many many years ago, in a house that I no longer live in, my cousin and I were sitting at my (then) new computer. I had just bought my first copy of CS:S ever, and was creating my steam account. I was going to make my steam name match my XBL name, but I wanted something more epic. After many seconds of thinking of the ultimate name which could be considered "cool" and could be used for trolling, my cousin said ":O ZOMG I HAZ TEH ANSW3R!... THAT 1 GUYYY!"

I set my bag of chips down and pondered at the thought of "That 1 Guy" and considered it momentarily when suddenly a much more epic variation popped into my head.

"That 1 Guy.... NO! I WILL BE FOREVER KNOWN AS... (dramatic pause) THAT 1 DUDE! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!"

And so it began, that 1 dude was born.

I have always used crazy, back then when I was playing games and get on my previous clans ts or ventrilo I would be hyped on Monsters or some kinda energy drink, so they would call me crazy cause I would rage and go nuts when I killed or got shot someone lol

My nickname came from my real name (Shane). So people used to call me shaz then when i got my PS3 years ago i was making my name and shaz was taken so i added baz hence Shazbaz had it ever since :P
 
Overlord is just from brainstorming when i first joined eGO. My actuall name online is eNigma#. i use that because i love puzzles and i love to think through things to find a solution :P
 
My first major foray into online gaming, and thus the use of nicknames, came with Counter-Strike Beta 6.6 way back when. I would use a new name just about every week, whatever sounded funny to me.

Eventually, after a longer-than-usual period of stability using The Maniacal Onion (the only other name I can remember using anymore, still love it), I got bored and came up with ghettosmurf... and that's been it for more than a decade. Boorrrring :P

No idea what made it stick, I certainly liked it, but I suspect it was the giggles I could elicit from others that has kept it around.

On a related note, I've actually been hemming and hawing as to whether or not I'll continue to keep it, but my goodness it's a daunting proposition when nearly every aspect of your online world has been shaped by it (email, logins for EVERYTHING, IM, etc, etc).

And then I just added on my name.
 
okay see here's the history to my name, my first ever gamer name was on warcraft 3 as lol_fu. after many weeks i changed it to hyperfang because i wanted to include the word "hyper" in my name (little did i know this was a pokemon move). 2 years later i adopted the name hyperkiler due to hyperfang being taken in many games, while i was in EWo that is.... anyway i soon later quit EWo and joined VTX on GMOD by then my name i had changed to was Veridian (i was thinking of "v" words in my head and made it up.) little did i know that it was a shade of green and was a pokemon city. :\ after coming up with veridian i also liked the word "magma" so from there i became Veridian Magma. soon after about 6 months i was watching an anime called Mar that aired in canada a long time ago. and the "evil" guys name (he was the leader of evil) was named Phantom. so about 8 months before joining eGO i had picked Veridian Phantom. and stuck to it since.
 
my name came from a very special awesome person his name was jean. oh wait thats me :)
 
if youve played with me at all, i tend to enjoy finding exploits in maps that allow me to successfully hide. Never really as a purpose to score as many kills as possible, but just as gimics.
My hiding antics since i was 14 years old have allowed me to appropriately be named WheresWaldo :D

Most famous hiding discovery to date? In the trees of old highschool.

Well my name came from me thinking Of random things when i was younger but xblade looked boring so i added 111 :D
