A suggestion about Ventrilo

First off, I know this belongs in the drop box, and it will go there soon. I just wanted to see how many people were with or against me?

SO, how would you like it if Ventrilo rooms were organized by server? For example, one room would be for cs_office, while another would be for event server, stuff like that. If you ask me, it works better then what we have now.

But, I wanna hear your thoughts.

Thats how they were, then you have a lot of empty rooms when those servers are empty. The current set up is more fluid and dynamic so that it can accommodate people better based on what is being played

What about for the divisions that don't host their own server? Starcraft 2? World of Warcraft? Guild Wars? Star Wars? Eve Online? For the MMOs, I guess you can set it by the server they guild/corp is playing on, but that still leaves out some of the other gaming communities.

Current format is fine by me. Organized alphabetically by Division Name. It doesn't bother me personally to talk to people that are in other game servers than the one I'm in.

I mean still sort it by division, but in each division category, have each room be named by server, not just room 1, room 2, etc. It seems a bit more organized this way. I do not play any of the games you mentioned, so I do not know how they work. So, for most FPSX, Source, and general FPS games that are hosted using dedicated servers, they could do this. It might work better.

That would be convenient in many situations.
You would know that if your buddies are in the office that you were in the right vent immediately.

But I understand what blackhawksniper is saying.
The current set-up is more efficient I suppose.

Sounds like a good idea, but I agree with blackhawk. It is more dynamic and it's best to be in a divisions room in general. Much eaiser imho.
